Stop Playing Small!

If you're in any sort of client-facing or any kind of job where you're dealing with people, you're going to face some sort of rejection, someone is going to say no to you.

Now, human nature, when we put ourselves through some sort of rejection, our brain doesn't quite know exactly how big the real pain is. So, for example, if you're going through a physically painful situation, your brain doesn't differentiate that from when you get rejected.

Let’s say someone says no to you, you're not feeling any physical pain when someone rejects you, but your brain interprets it as the same type of pain.

Now, what does this mean? This means that we can exercise that muscle in our brain to teach ourselves what is truly painful and what is truly physically painful.

Now for those of you who don't like hearing or accepting rejection, I'm sorry to say this, but it sounds like you're not playing big enough. And when you're not playing big enough, you're not going to yield big results.

But if you're open to having something bigger in life, to getting something bigger, to feeling something bigger, you're going to have to deal with the fact that you're going to face rejection.

And for those of you who seek rejection every day so that you can better yourself so you can improve yourself, so you can change the world whatever it is that you're doing, I applaud you, because the greatest people in the world in history, have all faced rejection and they've also seen big dreams come true.
