I don't need stilettos to feel big and powerful

ankle confident dress feel feet flats gave heels holding nice powerful shoes stiletto heels thinking uncomfortable walk wear withstand woman Mar 10, 2024

My thoughts about stiletto heels: I'm used to wearing heels because I'm rather short.

I know that heels can be very tall. And even the tall people are wearing stiletto heels. Even though some heels are very nice and can be very flattering to a lot of women, I feel a little bit different when I wear them.

I feel different wearing heels than if I were wearing flat shoes.

How does something so external, something outside of myself can control how I feel?

How can things around you stop you from doing what you really want to do? My feeling about wearing heels in general: I have this fear that I'm going to roll my ankle and make a fool out of myself.

I've done this too many times than I’m willing to count.

Instead of risking doing this more, especially at the expense of possibly doing this in front of people, I have decided that two-inch heels were a lot more practical. I have also realized that because my feet are small, it is not common to find stiletto heels in my size anyways, at least that is what I have decided to tell myself.

Anyways, I realized that there are so many things out there that stop us from reaching our full potential. There are a lot of people who wear stiletto heels and can wear them without tripping over their own two feet, seem to walk in a very confident manner. You'll never see a woman in nice shoes and a nice dress, walk with their head down.

Well, why is it some people need heels to walk upright and confidently?

I am one of those people:  I walk differently when I wear heels, 4 inch or 2 inches, then if I were wearing flats or sneakers.  When I wear flats or sneakers, I tend to look at my feet, or down.

I ask myself, how is it that something so small, like what shoes I am wearing, affect how I hold myself in public.

do not need stiletto heels to feel big and powerful.

As I was once described, I might be small, but I am mighty.

What I have to offer is big and powerful. My personality is big and powerful with or without those stiletto heels.

What kinds of things hold you back from really wanting to shine?

What is it that you know you're good at? What is it that you're confident about? And why are you not bringing it out to the world? What are you holding it back?

What’s really holding you back from living that life that you want?

Those shoes don't make me bigger and powerful. Yes, they make me taller. But it’s how they make me feel.

But I can control how I feel when I wear flats as well, can’t I?

I don't need those stiletto heels to feel confident.
