Are You Going to Focus on the One Blemish

appears blemish blessed complexion face focus forehead grateful great hope lasts lives mirror negative noticed realize skin worse zit Mar 10, 2024

I noticed a zit on my forehead.

That is the one thing I noticed when I looked in the mirror, was this one blemish on my head.

I don't notice anything else.

I don't notice that I have little in terms of wrinkles. I am turning 47 this year (2022). I have either been blessed with really good skin or my preventative measures every night has paid off.  Either way, the one blemish that kind of pops out of my forehead is the one thing I noticed when I looked in the mirror.

This got me thinking about how we can apply this to our lives. Why do many people focus on the negative part of their lives, and not really focus on being grateful for the things they have. I am sure there might be many people that look at my face and not notice the zit at all.

What I just did was turn the spotlight on something negative about my face, instead of focusing on the things that I should be grateful for.

Today, I will let it be known that I am grateful for my skin, and recognize that not everyone is blessed to have what I have. At the end of the day, I am truly blessed.

The blemish can go away, after all.

If I only focus on the one blemish that I have on my forehead, and if I were to try to squeeze it out, what do you think is going to happen? It's going to get worse. The more I pick at it, the more it's going to get worse. We can apply that to anything in our lives. The more we focus on the negatives, the bigger the problem appears. And really, the problem only becomes bigger in our heads.

Do not focus on the blemish in your life, but focus on everything good that's going on. It is always a  great time to think about how grateful we should be.

It is just as simple biologically to think of being grateful, as it is to think of negativity. The choice is yours to change your thoughts.
